I absolutely loved the charming and elegant decoration of the hotel. The gothic Victorian sandstone towers at the entrance gave it a special touch that made me feel like I was entering a secret medieval castle. The soft lighting from the chandelier and the classic furniture created an old-world ambience that was so delightful. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The general areas were spacious and easy to navigate, and there were no obstacles that could hinder the comfort and mobility of senior guests.
If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be to have more assistance from the staff when needed. Sometimes, as seniors, we may require a bit more help or guidance, especially when it comes to finding our way or carrying our luggage.

Spent my new year here and had a decent time. The property was at a remote yet stunning location which was refreshing to see. The hosts provided a bottle of sparkling wine which was a nice surprise. They also offered delicious foods which added to the experience. The rooms were big and also had a rustic charm to them.
The property was difficult to locate and the road leading up to it was in terrible shape. The bathroom in our room had a door which made a loud creaking noise every time it was opened or closed.

Absolutely nice, sociable hosts. Beautiful antique decor. Complimentary bubbles on arrival. Delicious breakfast and evening wine and cheese. Lovely garden.
Nothing to mention.

During our stay, we found the location of our accommodation to be lovely and peaceful, with a large garden and picturesque views. The rooms were immaculate and came equipped with comfortable furniture and old-world charm, making for a pleasant and cozy stay. The breakfast provided was exceptional, presented in a classic dining room reminiscent of classical novels. the hosts were friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed the wine and cheese served in the library.
Our only gripe was the distance of the accommodation from town, which is something to consider if you prefer to be in the heart of the city.

The local activities and attractions were great and kept us busy throughout our stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and well-equipped. The breakfast in the morning was good, with a wide range of options to choose from.
The location was quite challenging to find, even though we followed the directions given. the coffee was weak, and the food was too sweet for our liking.
